Ingredients
- 400g beef rump, cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 tsp Tropical Heat Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- ½ tsp salt
- Vegetable oil, for shallow frying
- 200g long-grain rice
- 1 carrot, finely diced
- Small handful of green beans, chopped
- 1 green pepper, sliced into rings
- Lettuce, tomato and cucumber, to serve
Method
Step 1: Cook the rice with the carrot and green beans in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and keep warm.
Step 2: Toss the beef with the Garam Masala, flour and salt.
Step 3: Heat 1cm of oil in a frying pan and fry the beef in batches for 4 to 5 minutes, until browned and crisp.
Step 4: Add the pepper rings to the pan for the last minute.
Step 5: Plate the rice, beef and peppers with a simple salad on the side.
Shake a little Garam Masala straight over the hot beef as it comes out of the pan.
